Compliance Calendar for FY 2026-27: Every Date in One Place
This calendar covers what falls due between 1 April 2026 and 31 March 2027 for a business in Vadodara, including the FY 2025-26 filings that land during the year. Save it, put the recurring dates in a diary, and check the month-by-month list at the start of each month.
How to use this
Three Dates Do Most of the Damage
If you diarise nothing else, diarise these. Each one closes a door that cannot be reopened.
30 September 2026
Tax audit report for FY 2025-26, and the last date to hold your AGM. Both set off the filings that follow.
30 November 2026
Last date to claim FY 2025-26 input tax credit or amend those invoices. After this the credit lapses permanently.
31 December 2026
Belated income-tax return for FY 2025-26, and the GST annual return. Miss the belated return and you cannot claim a refund for that year.
The monthly cycle
| Date | What is due |
|---|---|
| 7th | Deposit TDS and TCS deducted in the previous month. For March deductions the date is 30 April |
| 11th | GSTR-1 for monthly filers |
| 13th | Invoice Furnishing Facility for QRMP filers, and quarterly GSTR-1 in the month after a quarter |
| 14th | GSTR-2B is generated. Review the Invoice Management System before this, since untouched invoices are treated as accepted |
| 15th | Provident Fund and ESI contributions for the previous month |
| 20th | GSTR-3B for monthly filers, with payment |
| 22nd | Quarterly GSTR-3B for QRMP filers in Gujarat, in the month after a quarter |
| 25th | PMT-06 payment for QRMP filers, in the first two months of a quarter |
April to June 2026
| Date | What is due |
|---|---|
| 30 April | TDS deposit for March 2026. MSME-1 for the October to March half year |
| 30 May | LLP Form 11, the annual return, for FY 2025-26 |
| 31 May | TDS and TCS statements for the January to March 2026 quarter |
| 15 June | First advance tax instalment for FY 2026-27. Issue Form 16 for FY 2025-26 to employees |
| 30 June | DPT-3 return of deposits. DIR-3 KYC where it falls due in the three-year cycle. GSTR-4 for composition dealers |
On 1 April, reset your GST invoice series for the new financial year and file a fresh letter of undertaking if you export. Both are easy to forget and both cause problems later.
July to September 2026
| Date | What is due |
|---|---|
| 31 July | TDS and TCS statements for the April to June quarter. Income-tax return for FY 2025-26 for individuals without business income |
| 31 August | Income-tax return for FY 2025-26 for business and professional taxpayers not subject to tax audit |
| 15 September | Second advance tax instalment for FY 2026-27 |
| 30 September | Tax audit report for FY 2025-26 in Form 3CA or 3CB with 3CD. Last date to hold the AGM for FY 2025-26 |
Both the July and August return dates for FY 2025-26 have now passed without extension. If you have not filed, the belated return route stays open until 31 December 2026, which our guide to late filing covers.
October to December 2026
| Date | What is due |
|---|---|
| Within 30 days of the AGM | AOC-4, the financial statements, with the ROC |
| 30 October | LLP Form 8, the statement of account and solvency, for FY 2025-26 |
| 31 October | TDS and TCS statements for the July to September quarter. Audited income-tax return for FY 2025-26. MSME-1 for the April to September half year |
| Within 60 days of the AGM | MGT-7A or MGT-7, the annual return, with the ROC |
| 30 November | Income-tax return for transfer pricing cases. Last date to claim FY 2025-26 input tax credit, issue credit notes or amend FY 2025-26 invoices |
| 15 December | Third advance tax instalment for FY 2026-27 |
| 31 December | Belated or revised income-tax return for FY 2025-26. GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C for FY 2025-26 |
Four separate year-end exercises land between October and December: ROC filings, the audited return, the GST credit cut-off and the GST annual return. Begin the GST reconciliation in October, because the 30 November credit deadline falls a month before the annual return is due and cannot be recovered afterwards.
January to March 2027
| Date | What is due |
|---|---|
| 31 January | TDS and TCS statements for the October to December quarter |
| 15 March | Fourth and final advance tax instalment for FY 2026-27. Presumptive taxpayers pay their full advance tax by this date |
| 31 March | Last date to file a revised return for FY 2025-26, with a fee if filed after 31 December. File a fresh letter of undertaking for FY 2027-28 if you export |
| 31 March | Close the year: physical stock count, debtor and creditor confirmations, fixed asset register updated with put-to-use dates |
Once-a-year items not to miss
- Letter of undertaking for exports, filed fresh each financial year before 31 March for the year ahead
- Invoice series reset on 1 April, with a continuous series for the new year
- DIR-3 KYC, now once every three financial years by 30 June, with a 30-day update whenever a director's particulars change
- Auditor reappointment and ADT-1 where the five-year term ends
- Registration renewals: Section 12AB and 80G for trusts, FSSAI, factory and pollution consents, each with its own cycle
- Form MBP-1 and DIR-8 from every director at the first board meeting of the financial year
- Insurance renewals, particularly stock insurance where you have a bank limit
A note on what changes from here. FY 2026-27 is the first year under the Income-tax Act, 2025, so income-tax filings for this year use the renumbered forms, and the first tax audit under the new Form 26 falls due in September 2027. GST dates are unaffected by that change.
This guide is general information on Indian tax and corporate law as it stood on 11 September 2026, and is not advice for any particular case. Rules, due dates and forms change, and how they apply depends on your facts. Please confirm the current position before acting, or speak to a qualified professional.

Frequently asked questions
Answers to Your Compliance Calendar Questions
What are the most important compliance dates in FY 2026-27?
30 September 2026 for the tax audit report and the AGM, 31 October 2026 for the audited return and ROC filings, 30 November 2026 as the last date to claim FY 2025-26 input tax credit, and 31 December 2026 for the belated income-tax return and the GST annual return.
What is due on the 7th of every month?
Deposit of TDS and TCS deducted during the previous month. The one exception is March, where the deposit date is 30 April. Quarterly statements follow by 31 July, 31 October, 31 January and 31 May.
When are advance tax instalments due?
15 June, 15 September, 15 December and 15 March. Taxpayers using presumptive taxation pay their entire advance tax by 15 March. Shortfalls attract interest, so the instalments need reasonably current books.
Why does 30 November matter so much?
It is the last date to claim input tax credit on FY 2025-26 invoices, issue credit notes for that year or amend those invoices in GSTR-1. The GST annual return follows a month later but cannot be used to claim credit you missed, so unclaimed credit lapses permanently on that date.
Do my ROC dates depend on when I hold the AGM?
Yes. AOC-4 is due within 30 days of the AGM and the annual return within 60 days, both counted from the date you actually hold it rather than from 30 September. Holding the AGM early brings those dates forward, which is worth knowing if you want the filings out of the way.
